It came up quick, while I wasn't watching. One minute all the world was green and blue, with yellow sun and playful waters. The next, the sun fell into the trees, so that they shone with sunset hues. Waters were grey and distant, while the sky was bluer than ever. The greens; I missed them so much. But when I saw the hills in all their autumn glory, it made me gasp in wonderment. Then suddenly all the colour was gone. I lived in a pale, grayscale world, where brightness was moved indoors. It went so fast, my green summer.
